My idea is something to convince players that EVE is only dull because of themselves. You sit in your crappy corp's gang and blob the heck out of solo blackbirds, and then complain that it's not exciting?
Who's fault is that? YOURS. Noone elses. Don't even try to blame Mr. Blackbird. Hey, I wonder what he was doing. Maybe exploring, looking for some kind of encounter? Yeah I wonder.
Hint: join/create a smaller corp, set your own goals.
Originally by: Thiago Aldanna I know you like *your* game just the way it is. I like it too, it's a great game. I just think it *could* be more fun.
CCP cannot improve the game to help the problem you mentioned, the problem is people such as themselves who come to EVE and get conned into joining some megacorp/alliance and paying $14/month to be some 13 year old's puppet in very boring and often stupid wars.
The only thing CCP could do is limit the ammount of standings you could set to discourage the popular idea that everyone needs to be in a coalition and NAP'd to everyone within 30 jumps of their space to exist in EVE.
So yeah, I'm going to sum it up as just another puppet who joined a corp and is crying about not having as much fun as others.

I've flamed enough, if you ignored the above. Please do read this. SRSTIME. (Serious). Anyways, if you have fun in other games then the problem is not you. Be sensible and leave your corp/ally and join up with people who know how to have fun. Don't join a megacorp/coalitionpuppet and cry on the forums about EVE being dull. It's your fault.
Oh, I guess I didn't flame enough. NOOOOOOOB.
I completely agree with this. A month ago i joined a corp, and at first it was all good and fun. We'd organise raids into 0.0 space, go on mining expeditions, it was all fun. Then the corp started getting bigger, and joined YouWhat alliance. Eventually we stopped doing things, and were just being used as a cash machine for YouWhat's pointless wars.
Me and a few other guys i had made friends with, we decided we'd had enough, and quit the corp and set up our own. The last few days have been immensely fun. Now we can be slackers, doing what we want and not paying tax. Not that we ever payed tax to our old corp anyway
